Absolute Truth

What is absolute truth?
Aren't all truths flase in the eyes of another?
So one could say that the only absolute truth, is nothing is absolute truth
For truth is in itself flase to another, for nothing is true, but with this being said, it disproves truth.
Truth is nothing more then our own truths, for our self truths are flase to the eyes on another self truth
Nothing is true, but then again, everything is true
Thoughts?

So, if we assume your statement to be correct(it is an absolute truth as stated in the first half of the statement), then it is false due to the second half of the statement. If we assume that it is not true, then it is false. Your statement is logically meaningless.

Indeed, it is logically meaningless, but that in itself is what I wanted to see if another could say that. For truth is preseption, and preseption is in fact nothing more than a thought upon ourselves.

Never mind, I didn't say that.

Seriously, though, this mode of thought has a parallel among practicing Christians. I can't count how many times I've been told I was being deceived by "The Devil", but if it is possible that you can't trust your own experiences, then you can't know anything, including anything about Jesus.

Truth

If someone puts a loaded gun to your head and pulls the trigger, your body will be dead! That's truth. We'll let you worry about the soul.

If you start pouring water into an empty glass, and keep pouring even after it is full to the top. It will overflow onto the table. That's truth!

I see this sort of thing all the time on message boards. Are some people unable to think straight?
Are they unable to express themselves?
Do they just like to talk in circles to get a reaction from others?

If you didn't mean ALL truths, then your original post has no point.
Just an extension of the underlying nihilistic idea, I suppose.

This is a worse waste of time than arguing over whose holy book is holier.
